Weapons Are For Wimps

Weapons Are For Wimps is an achievement obtained by completing any story level without using a weapon (including Barry's shotgun), except for Prologue levels. Its value is set to 1 if at the end of any story level from any campaign other than Prologue, the used_weapon value in the level_data section of the progress for the level is false. This is false by default, and is only set to true if a weapon is used with no regard for whether weapons were picked up. Since changing characters at a checkpoint causes the progress section of the save file to reset as though you were starting from the beginning of a level you were not standing on, it is possible to use a weapon in a level, reach a checkpoint, switch characters and then complete the rest of the level without using a weapon to still be awarded the achievement.
